I'm Katy Janginejad, a recent Master of Architecture graduate from Woodbury University, with a concentration in Design Computation. My thesis, Fluid Future: Design for a Rising World, focused on amphibious, self-sufficient homes designed to adapt to rising sea levels—blending environmental awareness with technical innovation. I approach architecture with the mindset that design is both a creative act and a responsibility to the future.
Originally from Tehran, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering while working as a junior architect and launching my own clothing brand, Klee. That experience taught me how to balance precision and vision, skills I now bring into every design process. Since moving to Los Angeles, I’ve built a life around learning, growing, and contributing meaningfully to architecture projects that are both grounded and imaginative.
Beyond architecture, I’m an active person who finds clarity in movement. I play tennis, recently picked up golf, and unwind through long drives around the city. I enjoy writing, painting, playing piano, and watching classic and historical films. I follow Sustainable and Green architecture and design closely, always drawing inspiration from beautiful places and lifestyles around the world. I am also preparing to begin studying for the ARE licensure exams and am interested in pursuing LEED and WELL AP certifications in the near future.
Currently based in the Hollywood Hills, I work as an Adjunct Faculty at Woodbury University and as an Architectural Associate with the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. I’m passionate about shaping sustainable and high-impact solutions for the built environment.
